Sustainability at VinLink
Ensuring a winemaking future in Marlborough
We are care takers of the land. It is with this in mind that we carefully manage what goes in and what comes out of our vineyards and the surrounding environment, treating our natural world with respect so that it can thrive and be enjoyed by generations to come.
Our credentials
VinLink is accredited by SWNZ, which is widely recognised as a world-leading sustainability programme, and was one of the first to be established in the international wine industry, back in 1995. Together we work towards a pioneering set of industry standards to drive environmental, social and economic sustainability. We’re up there with the best when it comes to managing energy and water consumption across our winery and vineyards.
And we’re certified by the BRCGS, an internationally recognised benchmark for best practice in food safety, quality and responsibility.
Our scale is our strength
As a purpose-built, large format manufacturing facility, we can achieve sustainable growing practices in the way others can’t. That includes lean management of resources, and the ability to give commitment and long-term security to growers, so they can effectively manage their outputs. This allows for sustainable growing models to be practiced, such as having grapes cropped at exactly the right time. In turn, our retail partners can rely on reliably high quality and consistency in our wines.
