VinLink Health and Safety Assistant – part-time

We have an exciting opportunity to join VinLink Marlborough as our Health & Safety Assistant, reporting to VinLink’s Quality and Compliance Manager. We are looking for someone who is a great communicator, has a positive attitude, and is committed to making a difference. If this sounds like you, please read on!

Who are we?

VinLink Marlborough is a large winery located in the Riverlands Industrial Estate just 10 minutes from the centre of Blenheim. Our winery has been specifically designed and built for Marlborough’s signature grape, Sauvignon Blanc, and crushes more than 25,000 tonnes each year.  It’s an exciting time to be joining us as we have big plans on the horizon, and we are looking for the right candidate to help us achieve our goals.

We are looking for a candidate with the following attributes:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a health and safety administration role, in the wine industry, or in Manufacturing, FMCG, or Primary Industry.
  • Experience in auditing, site monitoring, and documentation development.
  • Strong organisation and communication skills that allow you to prioritise work effectively
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Discretion, honesty and confidentiality are essential
  • A positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Great sense of humour is a must!

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Collation and development of health and safety corrective action plans.
  • Administrate VinLink’s health and safety program in conjunction with our QCM.
  • Oversee the induction and approval of VinLink’s contractors.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and update health and safety records, documentation and create safety alerts and communications.
  • Promoting a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement throughout the business.
